Trying to get rid of those nasty Vodafone icons I downloaded a file that's supposed to be the original firmware, but it takes about 5 Mbytes...
Can it really be the firmware? I heard that the telephone has less memory than that.
How can I check the file? And transfer it? I suppose Sendfile and similars wont do it.
My files are:
T610_Modem_R1A081.arm 2,45Mbs
T610_EMEA2_R1A081.sbn 6,67Mbs

I think you'll find that the firmware is stored in a separate place to the 2MB of memory you get to use. They wouldn't make firmware bigger than the phone can handle.

I've gotten mine from http://www.cellular-support.com/
But unless you have an adapter for the flash cable, you need
to go to an SE service point to get the 2 areas of system firmware
programmed.
I suggest you forage around that site, lots of useful info / downloads.
