I went to http://global.mobileaction.com and bought the cable and program and it works wonders now. I can do whatever I want as far as pictures and any music.

It was the driver. Thanks dude. I had to find the driver from another source, that's all.
Looks like this will work after all, you just need to do some more legwork.

Can anyone tell me the solution for bitpim? I'm having the same issue, I choose my model (4650) and I also tried choosing the 4400 and it refuses to detect the phone.
(It's a usb cable so I'm not sure what people mean by using it as a serial port?)
