I am very new at this. I bought a T-mobile Moto V330 on ebay and I am trying to get it to work using my cingular sim card. How can I aquire the subsidy unlock code? I called cingular and the CSR suggested that I try this board.
Please help.

T-Mo will not give you a code unless you are a customer and no one here has subsidy codes for your phone. Im sure that there are cell phone shops in your are that offer unlocking service or you can email Old Fool (in the motorola talk forum) he offers unlocking service.

Are the the codes unique to each individual phone or for the provider?

IMEI specific, individual to each and every phone.
