Hi, y'all,
I just purchased a new Nokia 3595 and am thinking about upgrading my t-mobile service to have T-zones on this phone. It's 2.99 a month for 1mb of data transfer. I am computer savvy, but don't have an idea the size (Kbytes) that a polyphonic ringtone takes up. The graphics, I have noticed, aren't too large. But, If I am to pay for 1mb, I would like to use all of it in a month and not just little pieces.
Is t-zones worth the paying for, or is it just another charge?
Thanks

With your phone it would be pretty good.....however polyphonic rings tend to take up quite some size.....though i can't remember how much.
You wouldn't have to pay much more to get 2 mb per month .

No, each additional 1MB is only another $3. Poly ringtones usually go anywhere from around 10KBs to over 50KBs.
I've been goofing around with my phone for a week now, checking my e-mail, web surfing, sending multimedia messages. I've only used 308.97KBs so far.
If you think you'll typically go over 2MBs per month then you should get their unlimited plan. It's only $9.99 per month.

That helps me out a lot, and I could see myself using about that much a week, however, have you downloaded anything? I am assuming ringtones, but anything else? I am tempted to do add T-Zones, but just want to make sure that it's all that it's cracked up to be.
P.S. - If they had offered your phone instead of the 3595 at my T-Mobile dealer, I would have gotten that one. The 3595 buttons are a little funky for my taste.
Thanks

I bought my phone from an online dealer, but anyhow...
I really haven't downloaded much with it but I do alot of surfing. I've now had the phone for 15 days and have used up 801KBs so far.
If you're going to do alot of downloading directly through your phone then go for the $10 unlimited plan. Then spend another $20 - 30 (one time fee) to get a good browser such as Doris or Opera so you can get the 'whole' Internet as opposed to just WAP.
I just download stuff to my PC and Bluetooth it to the phone.
