I recently deleted everything off the memory of my nokia 6230. I have decided to sell it, is there any way i can restore the phone to the way it was when i bought it.

You can only reset it, but it won't bring you back stuff you've deleted (like pictures, ringtones, etc.).
A new firmware would bring it back, but you're not allowed to do it on your own.

Firmware is the basic operating system of the phone.
And you can't get it from anywhere, it isn't public domain. All downloads are illegal.
Only Nokia Care Centers are allowed to flash phones with a new firmware.

I had a look at a few mobile shops on the net and think i found one that can do it for £30. Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

Quite expensive
Don't you have any warranty left? If the phone is still under warranty, it is for free (need the bill as proof)
