That is a known issue with the V300, earpiece volume deteriorates after a couple months of use. Not sure if it extends to your phones.

I did talk to some Motorola reps earlier on (Wed) and they did say that it was a known issue with some of the more recent V series phones.
V300/V551/V600/V710 I believe. The new V330 should be fixed. Don't know about the others. If it seems to deteriorate after a few months, definately give customer care a call. We can exchange the phone in-house with our XBM department. eXchange By Mail. We won't allow you to hassle with Moto direct we can do this for you.
No downtime is always a plus....or minimal at that.

Having the same problem on my phone. I have the volume set at 7 which only affects the loudness of the ring. Difficult to hear when I am not using the speakerphone. Any advice on what to do? Also, I was advised to find PST 7.11 of higher and the universal patch in order to change my unlocked T-mobile phone in order to make it compatiable with my cingular service.
I am such a novice, that I am not quite sure where to go in order to get this info. I have downloaded some Monster flash programs, but do not know what do to with them.
I was told that if I could get this info that all I had to do was come back here they can flash it to cingular with video recorder enabled.
Do not understand how this can be done but want to try! Please be patient with me! [img] [/img]
Clueless and confused,

I found an earpiece fix for the Motorola V551 which I think will work with other Motorola models? I tried the fix and it works well.
