Hello,
Firstly, congratulations for your great forum.
I have a Moto V3 for almost 2 months, from a contract with T-Mobile. I changed country and phone provider (for studies..) and I realized that my phone is locked to T-Mobile. I can't use it here in Greece, and I'm in desperate need of someone who could tell me how I can unlock it. I called T-Mobile and they told me that they cannot give me the unlock code until 6 months have passed. I have seen that there are 3 methods for unlock:
1) Via IMEI generation
2) Via Cable Unlock
3) Via Flex/Flash Upgrade
Which one of the tree is more reliable? I have seen many sites on the internet telling that they can unlock V3 either via IMEI generation, either via Cable unlock with a software they provide. Which one of the 2 is best? Are those sites reliable? Anyone used any of them to tell me his experience? I'm a little bit afraid to give my VISA number.
Can I unlock the phone with flex / flash upgrade? How can I do it? Is it safe or not?
Secondly, my phone's bootloader version is 8.23. I have seen that it's impossible to unlock phones with that bootloader version. Is this true? Can I still unlock it? If not, can I revert the phone to it's previous bootloader version?
Thanks in advance guys, keep up the good work!
PS. Sorry for my bad English!!!

Well these unlocking methods may be true for some phones but not yours unfortuntely. Cant unlok with data cable, no flash/flex will unlock your phone and you will need to pay an online service to generate a code for you with your IMEI as the programs to do this are expensive and I doubt anyone would do it out of the kindness of their heart. You can unlock with smartclip but they are also expensive (200$+US)

Thanks for your quick reply. Is it possible to use remote unlock from a site, using my cable, or not? I'm telling that because my phone is upgraded to bootloader v8.23, is it compatible with the remote unlocking service offered by those sites?
Thanks in advance.

Not to sure, I would say yes for sure if it was bootloader version 7.E0, Fire them off an email they should be able to tell you one way or another.

Well, I finally unlocked it in 2 minutes using the service "Unlock by Cable" from www.unlockitnow.com. It costed me 38euro.
The site is very trustworthy, I had no problems unlocking the phone. Their service also supports Bootloader 8.23.
My phone works now like a charm
Samsung, many thanks for the help pal, keep up the good work.

My wife decided she liked my Razr V3 so much, she went out and bought a black version at the Cingular store. Now she changed her mind and wants to have my silver one, which was bought in S'pore and never locked. Her black one is, of cause, SIM Locked.
Tried the web site above, bit got a "Sorry, Not Available" message when I tested the IMEI number. What to do - can anyone recommend another solution or a reliable place to send it in? Is the Black Razr any different from the Silver one and can not be unlocked in the same way? Help please - family unity is in danger...
EDIT: Several web sites have a "cable unlock" for the V3 - do those always work and is it just a standard USB cable they are using when running the unlock software?
