Hello.
My v220 is a tri-band model. I used the OP code to access the 850mhz band. The phone said success afterwards, so I guess it worked.
Now when I plug the phone in it's only detected by 1 program: Motokit 1.06
nothing else sees the phone.
I've tried:
Mobile Phone Tools 3.25 (used to work fine)
Data Pilot (used to work fine)
P2K Tool (used to work fine)
PST (used to work fine)
Does this sound like a driver issue or a hardware issue.
I completly back the phone up prior to with Mortola Service Software & MotoKit 1.06
Should I do a Master Reset ?

powering the phone on & off during the software connection stage makes no difference.
Should I just do a master reset?
Is there anyway to manually undo an OPCODE entry?
I'm not sure is MSS will work or not. I'm getting the no HASP loaded error.

Using upcode entry shouldn't effect the phone. I could be mistaken, however. Try the master reset.

Ok.
Master Reset did the trick.
But I was surprised to see my Java games were still there, as was the Engineering menu. So were all of my custom .mp3 ring tones & pictures that I took.
V220 (R365_G_0B.D2.23R) is what I've got. It's tri band, not quad band.
I'm back to tri band as I now have horrible recption here in the basement again. It was 3 or 4 bars most times after the OPCODE to enable 850mhz.

a master clear will delete custom ringers, pic, games, wap settings, etc.

Now when I try and use a back up from MotoKit 1.06 it says phone/type mismatch. Even though its the same phone. All I did was an OPCODE to enable 850mhz...odd.
P2KTools_v0.7.1.9 won't connect to it either...

One last update:
I did a master clear, and uninstalled the Motorola USB modem in control panel.
I then rebooted & reinstalled the motorola USB modem.
All programs work normally again.
So I did the OPCODE again. All seems fine now.
