Ok, I have a t mobile sidekick II that I just got from a friend used. We had it activated yesterday. I have text messaging, and phone use, but they said we couldn't get internet (web browser/aim/e-mail)service until a month from now. Is this true? I wanted the phone for easier use of internet, since i'm moving around a lot, and don't always have a computer by.
Is it true?

Probably true, T-Mobile cannot make Price Plan changes in the middle of the bill cycle anymore because customers were calling in an changing their plan 2-3 times PER MONTH and getting double/triple minutes but only paying 1 Monthy access fee. Therefore all price plan changes need to be done at the beginning of a bill cycle, either through backdating or future dating.

We just set our plan up yesterday, and we asked for text messaging, and the web browser and aim. And they said they couldn't set it up for another month. We wern't changing the plan. If we were changing it i could see why.

Smartaccess customers can only have 300 min with free weekends for 29.99$ and the unlimited sidekick feature. So if you are on any plan other then that one, they couldnt set it up until the beginning of your next bill cycle because they need to change your plan. OR you will have completed 1 year of service next month and will be eligible to get OFF Smartaccess so you can keep your plan and add the feature.
