Has anyone heard about the motorola franklin? It is supposed to be the "black berry," "treo killer," "and new razor". Its like a razor type shape with the capibitilities to function as a pocket pc. As shown in the pictures it looks like it runs windows pocket pc. From the pictures it looks amazing, black and sleek with a full keyboard! I wonder though if this is just a hoax to scare palm and rim. The pics can be accessed here:

it looks so amazing, it says it will be released by Q3 or 4. This thing will probably cost a fortune.

Drool.....I was thinking about picking up one of these (http://www.telusmobility.com/on/pcs/samsung_sph_i700.shtml) for a data plan, but I may just wait for something like that bad boy lol

Why go for the 700 when the new 730 is out. Although its $500+ the thing is sweet. Looks a little like the franklin but has a slidedown keyboard from the back. The only downsides is that it doesn't have a camera in the verizon release, and lacks wifi. However not much sets it apart from the treo and other pocket pc/phone contendors.

I just heard from My Verizon rep that the Franklin is slated for mid-year 06 release. That would be nice, but I won't hold my breath. I really hope the rumor that it will run on WM 5.0 is true. I am sure Verizon will strip it of it's camera on first release too.

FYI for Samsung i730 users, there is a free voicesignal update for updates and bug fixes.
