I just put an unbranded V635 into service on Cingular and it works great, except for one thing that is DRIVING ME CRAZY! Within 20 seconds of checking my Voicemail using the V635, I receive an incoming message that looks to be cryptic and can not be answered. I've tried all sorts of settings, up to and including having Cingular stop my message service portion of my plan, but nothing works. One of Mibiledia's members, ERN1824, was having the same problem and says he fixed it by editing s "SEEM" using "P2Kman and XVI32," but I haven't a clue as to what he did, don't have these programs and wouldn't know what to do if I did have them. ERN1824 isn't available. Can someone help a new guy, please?

There isn't any text within the message. The sender name looks like a rectangle with a like coming out of the top of it (kind of like a radio) and a "@" after it. Hope that helps!

Thanks!
David

I've encountered this on two other phones, It seems to be that the phone sends you a text when you get a VM and it also does it after calling and hanging up with VM, try using the thread stickied uptop, (Or enter the link samsung gave then the first link that Duceduc gave) and look around for something to do with texts and VM and it is a seem edit but it will relieve your stress of that annoying hyroglyphics later. Cingular themselves couldn't fix this one...HA...

Well, having a message from (a box with an antenna coming out of the top like an old radio/walkie-talkie with a "@" next to it on the right) your own phone EVERY TIME AFTER I call my voice mail and hang up just plain SUCKS!!!

Everybody else seems (no pun on the word) to love the phone. I wonder if there is something I have entered myself in an address or something that is making this happen?

Someone should have a data base out there that knows about a fix. I'd pay for a fix if it were reasonable. Cingular is clueless...

Well if you can get ahold of the USB cable and say p2kseem then its a simple fix, without it this may be a difficult proccess but I'll look into alternate means.

Download P2kseem(I recommend) or Download P2kman and xvi32:

I receive a _@^ text whenever I get a voicemail follow by another sms text after I delete the message.
Using a usb data cable xvi32, and p2kman, adjust accordingly.
