As in my subject, I am in need of the four screws that hold the top plate (called the face...only the face if viewed while phone is closed) as well as the four little rubber pieces that go in after the screws.

Can someone guide me to where I can get such items or is this mission impossible? icon_sad.gif

Well, you can go to your service provider or a cell shop and see if they have a scrap phone you could salvage these parts from, or scour ebay and see if they don't have such spare parts laying around. It's not impossible just a tedeous job of searching.

That's a great idea. Thanks. I have looked on E-Bay for a scrap v551...but no avail there. I don't recall seeing or hearing about a cell repair shop here in my little backwards town...but I'm defintitely going to check. Thanks so much.

Other idea's are still welcome as well. Thanks to all that read this thread in attempts to help. icon_smile.gif

I can't help but wonder if someone HERE would have a scrap v551 that I could canabilize the parts off of? icon_w00t.gif Is there an area in this forum in which I could ask for that? icon_ermm.gif

Um...I think right here is a perfect place. If someone vouches for it then conduct your business through email and you may have your parts, goodluck, and hopefully someone here would have what you need. icon_grin.gif

Okay, so how do I go about finding someone who might have the parts? I don't want to break the rules. I just HAVE to find these parts.

You use the board to find any takers, then you further conduct sales, shipping, anything else behind email. See our point.

I have put up an ad, and NO one has responded. I hope I'm not SOL on this one. icon_frown.gif I REALLY need those screws and plugs, but no one seems to have them. All I need is two sets of each of the four (screws and plugs)....maybe even just one set would work. I would hate to have to buy another phone off of E-Bay JUST for that purpose...cause on E-Bay, there are NO parts v551's.
