I know that the phone is relatively new, but could someone point me in the direction of the PC software I would use to flash this phone with. (I already have the firmware I wish to use).
Thanks

Did you get the software you wanted? Can you share with me the firmware you have? I'll search for the software, if I find something I'll share it. Thanks a lot.

Does anyone knows how to upload java games by cable to samsung z500? How about backing up the mms/sms in the z500? I can't make it with pcstudio.

The software required to flash your Z500 is called the MultiLoader, this can be found at the following link:
http://www.samsungseriez.com/portal/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemi d=32
Select multiloader and just register with the italian forum then you can download the software. English instruction of how to use the software can be found at:
www.mobile-review.com/forum2/showthread.php?t=34138
I haven't tried flashing my own Z500 yet as my phone is with the service repair centre, will try it when I get it back.

I've now flashed my Z500 with Z500BUEI1. it works perfectly, except I've had to reload the WAP, MMS & internet settings, which is a bit of a hassle, the only difference I find is the battery voltage after charging has increased therefore making the battery lasting a little longer, the battery voltage immediately after charging used to be around 4.14v, it is now 4.20v.

Alchemyst could you point me to where you downloaded your firmware or send it to me? I have tried MrGsm's link but the firmware link on the website doesn't work any more. I do recommend you use the MultiLoader link provided by MRGsm as I have flashed firmware on to my phone using it. I want to get rid of the Orange firmware I currently have on my phone as it is pants and the Vodafone firmware I originally had is equally pants.

hi guys, could you please give me some advice. will the unlocking code listed in this discussion work to unlock from orange to voda because i have read in other forums that its harder to unlock orange's firmware using just the code and not pc connection.
basically i have bought a z500 of ebay on orange but have a voda sim.
why is the orange and voda firmware classed as crap. i dont get it. if i leave the firmware orange am i loosing out on features from the voda firmware to use on the voda services (ie 3g). or any other features from other firmwares available.
thanks
