For the firmware, Yes it will work, its a bit tricky according to a friend of mine but it will work none-the-less, search the board for a mod named xxxSamsungxxx and leave an email with him, he upgraded his x426 with x427m software and should be able to help you out. Goodluck, and sorry the lock didn't go as planned.

Hm. I grabbed OptiFlash 4.14T to flash the x427 firmware onto my x426. However, it is only reading data when I am powering the phone _off_. I've selected "Customer T:X40x" in Settings, turned Debug Mode on. It does read, but when I am powering the phone on, nothing gets read. When I turn off the phone, it starts to read it and stops when the phone is off. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong.

Thank in advance for your help.

Edit : Crap. It's cause I had the charger plugged into the side of the cable too. Does it usually take about ~28m to read the firmware/ROM off the phone? And, just to make sure I don't totally bomb out - I'll backup/read the firmware, load the x427M 1.2 firmware, verify it and then Flash it right? Thanks!
