Seem edits thanks to Motox:

Enable Video:
1. SEEM 0032_0001 offset 70 bit 6 (1 on, 0 off)

2. SEEM 004a_0001 offset 1D3 (01) - no bit manipulation with this SEEM. Just change the offset value to 01.

3. You have to edit mma menu file. You can use program like P2KMenuEditor to activate Video Camera menu under Multimedia.

Other Seem Edits
1. Video length: Maximum/MMS

SEEM 0032_0001 offset 6E bit 3 (1 on, 0 off)

2. Resolution: High (176 x 144)/Low (128 x 96)
SEEM 0032_0001 offset 7D > bit 7 (1 on , 0 off)

3.Recording sound: On/Off
SEEM 0032_0001 offset 6E bit 2 (1 on, 0 off)

Hya, Im new to all the modifying. could you help me please. im not quite sure how to do all this.. wot am i suposed to do on which program? p2kman or the utha1?

thanx

You need p2kman and xvi32 to do the editing and get the new seems to your phone. if you dont know how to seem edit make backups if you are going to try on your own, if if you want I have a V3 Video package all put together that I can email you, just extract and load all files to your phone. Im not 100% sure but I think that Duc will be hosting on his site soon.

Cheers... but i still dnt even no how to use the program.... i jus open it n then im like icon_huh.gif so i open the thing u cld email me, in p2kman? n then wot... cld u go thru it step by step plz m8, cheers

Hi, i have read all the way through this article, unfortunately i am now stuck in a big way. I have flashed/flexed the firmware on my phone to: R374_GG_OE.40.98R. prob is that after i did that (i had to flex the keypad fix) i have been left with the camera/pic icons that i cant click on. I have tried to change the SEEMS, but i am having dramas there as well. My main concern atm is that i have the wrong firmware???. Can someone also send me the 2 modded SEEMS files at all to try and clear that up? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes it voids the warranty... both the manufacturer and your service providers warranty. You need to download p2kman and xvi32 to enable the video capture feature through seem editing.

what mode should the phone be in, in order to connect with p2kman? flash mode, regular mode, or is there anyother mode?

Keep in mind that flashing voids your warranty so do at your own risk. Also if phone is unlocked and you decide to flex then it could lock your phone to the carrier the firmware is branded for.

Hi, I have a V3 with old firmware that I want to update in order to enjoy video recording capabilities in my phone, but you mentioned something about firmware branding. How can I know if my phone is unlocked and/or its firmware branded?

Also, can you email me the seem files and menu ones to activate video, please.

Greetings from Mexico icon_wink.gif
