Seem edits thanks to Motox:

Enable Video:
1. SEEM 0032_0001 offset 70 bit 6 (1 on, 0 off)

2. SEEM 004a_0001 offset 1D3 (01) - no bit manipulation with this SEEM. Just change the offset value to 01.

3. You have to edit mma menu file. You can use program like P2KMenuEditor to activate Video Camera menu under Multimedia.

Other Seem Edits
1. Video length: Maximum/MMS

SEEM 0032_0001 offset 6E bit 3 (1 on, 0 off)

2. Resolution: High (176 x 144)/Low (128 x 96)
SEEM 0032_0001 offset 7D > bit 7 (1 on , 0 off)

3.Recording sound: On/Off
SEEM 0032_0001 offset 6E bit 2 (1 on, 0 off)

i have both programs, but i do not understand what to do, i opened seem 0032_0001 with hex editor, i can locate offset 70, but what do i do? can someone walk me through this?

thanks

If you dont no how to seem edit you need to read this first: http://xlr8.us/hofo
Basically just locate offset 70, go to tools, choose bit manipulation, check box 6 and press set.

The site you linked to was on our auto edit list and that is by choice this sites admin. Therfore I deleted it because you were trying to get around the filter by putting spaces between the letters.

what's so wrong with that site that it is deemed "bannable". i mean, linking to Motox.us is fine, and motox has a big ol' button on his main page that links to "the other site" that is not fine? i guess i just don't get it. i did get around it by posting the way i did, but still, i don't see how it violates forum rules. the only thing i can think of is that someone has a personal problem with someone there, and if that's the case, then its a bit childish.

That site has TONS and TONS of info and noob guides. i found this site by a post on THAT site as a matter of fact! This site does seem VERY well put together, and is a good source of info, but i bet this thread will start to become tiring when after 15 more pages, you still have people that don't want to take the time to learn to hex edit on their own and are still asking for mma files and seems.

i'm not trying to start a war or anything here, i am just curious. like i said, your site is great. it's well designed and ful of good info and active forums. i agree that people shouldnt be hocking warez and linking to pr0n sites and such. I just think an open sharing of knowledge can only be a good thing. The "other site" also follows the same guidelines as to not posting links to illegal software and so on as well, if that's a concern. i learned everything i know about modding from that site. hex editing, p2k usage, flash/flexing, what NOT to do. by looking at the posts in this thread, it seems quite a few people here don't know where to look for this information to do these things.

I would love to help contribute to BOTH forums, as i know how to and have successfully flashed a number of phones (v400, 551, 600, 180, 220), including my own v3 a few times. i am also a Cingular employee, so i can be a source of information to many users here, but if I have to wonder if what i post wil be deleted due to "grey areas" in the forum rules, then why would i want to waste my time putting together a clear, concise, and correct answer to someone, only to have is disappear?

I agree the site you linked is a good source of information and I am even a member there as well. However I do know that links to that site have been autoedited by Admin and that is their choice. If you have useful information to share then feel free, you dont need to link to that site to post here. Agreed this request for the prehacked seems is getting alittle much, from now on requests for them will be deleted, if you want them my email is under profile and requests for them in this forum will not be answered by myself. Welcome jinx7676 and im sure you will be a good addition to mobiledia.

Alright people someone is hosting it now. Use this if you are having a hard time with seem editing http://www.fictionalsanity.com/mobiledia/V3Video.rar.

Again incase you dont want to go back through the thread looking for it the seem edits are:
Enable Video:

2. SEEM 004a_0001 offset 1D3 (01) - no bit manipulation with this SEEM. Just change the offset value to 01.

3. You have to edit mma menu file. You can use program like P2KMenuEditor to activate Video Camera menu under Multimedia.

I need help. And I dont mean help in getting video to work. I think I have absolutely damaged my V3. I ran a flash upgrade using the PST Multiflashflex tool, got the upgrade over at motox. It ran succesfully but the phone would not properly restart after the upgrade.

The phone will go into its greeting and then the home screen will come up without a picture. The bluetooth icon is there as is the name for the local GSM co.

Then the screen goes blank and after a couple of seconds all I get is the home screen again.

I would really appreciate any suggestions. Also, take this as an example of things going wrong even when the PST Software said the update was succesful.

Flash ver.

I did not update my flex file, dont know if thats the problem. Please, any help will be greatly appreciated. This search for a video option has turned into quiite the nightmare.
