I've got a Usb cable to use with my phone and I've tried downloading drivers to use it with the RAZR v3, but I just can't seem to get it working. I want to use the cable to unlock the Video recording function on my phone or maybe upgrade it to the never flash version.

Does anyone have a program that I can use with the usb or the Mobile PhoneTools programs.

If you want Mobile Phone Tools, get it off of IsoHunt, and if you don't know what that is, then you should pay for the program icon_razz.gif

Now on to business, I loaded the video recording seems that you supplied in your newbs guide to V3 Video Camera, and i got it all working, but there were a couple problems. First my phone had the icon for roaming, it got rid of all the ways to check my account, and it wouldnt let me get to my voice mail, so i put the old seems back on it since id rather have a perfectly working phone without the video camera than a partially working phone with a video camera.... now if i just want to get the video camera without changing everything else, I guess i have to learn how to hex edit.... correct?

Ok, this is what I have S/W R374_G-0E.40.9ER Do I need to reflash my phone? I have all video funtion but I can only record up 7 sec.

I have downloaded P2KTool now what?

I have read everything, but I don't really get it....for example:

SEEM 0032_0001 > offset 7D > bit 7 [Check]

Under p2ktool, seems edition...I can't seem to found 7D

If I found it am I suppose to check bit 7?

Ok, first post and It's gonna make me sound like a bit of a newbie.

Where you said:

Quote:
2. SEEM 004a_0001 offset 1D3 (01) - no bit manipulation with this SEEM. Just change the offset value to 01.

How do I go about this? I'm familliar with hex editing and changed all the other values with no problems. I've found (finally after noticing the scroll bar!) offset 1D3 but I'm not sure what you mean when you asy "change the offset value to 01". I can't find an option to do this and nowhere on the net seems to be of any help.

xp67,

Don't mess with your seem just download Samsung video V3 RAR file and upload it to you phone. That's it , is really easy......but wait....make sure you
back up your file first!!!

But before you go and try it out yourself.....(I too have a t-mobile V3)

Wait for a response to my post first

http://forums.mobiledia.com/viewtopic.php?p=131329#131329

Because rite now, I can record up to 1 min of video but I can't access my setting>personalize menu...it just sit there "please wait..." over an hour.?!?!

Everything work but that, and I am waiting for someone who would response.

John

When you have offset 1D3 highlighted "type" 01 on your keyboard, thats all.

The last time I tried to uplaod someone elses files, my versions appeared to be incompatible, and when I rebotoed my V3, the keypad stopped working. After tryign again, the keypad still didn't work and the computer didn't recognise it either. Fortunately, the phone was only 12 hours old, so I RMA'ed it.

The moral to me is: dont use files from other phones.

Cheers Samsung, I had considered doing that but wasn't sure. As I said above, I don't wanna screw my phone up again.

EDIT: Changing the offset to 01 is just the same as checking bit 0 in that offset, isn't it?

EDIT again: I give up. I've set up the SEEMs and checked them against Samsungs. But no matter what, I can't get the menu item to stay. I've used P2KMenuEditor, I've used Samsungs files and I've HEX edited my files. No matter what, when I reboot the phone, the original mma_ucp is still there! (the mma_dcp file remains changed). This thing won't stop resetting itself!
