Finally had enough with my less than a year old motorola v300, earpeice going out and after reading so many other people sayingthe same thing I've had enough! I am looking at possibly the motolra razr v3 or my brother suggested the nokia 3220 or something else through tmobile.... Has anyone had any problems with either of these or have any opinion to one being better than the other? It really irritates me to have paid 200 bucks for a phone that didnt make it past 7 months!

I am so aggrevated about this V300 phone I can barely stay sane.
I am also with T-Mobile and had to replace this phone within 3 months of having purchased it. I continue to have problems with the replacement, ie- actually being able to hear the caller on the other end, and T-Mobile will only replace it with the same model. This is pointless, as the problem lies with the phone itself. It is defective and should be recalled by Motorola, and T-Mobile should stop offering this model to it's customers. I think it's reprehensible that a customer should have to spend more money just because they were unfortunate enough to purchase this phone.
I just wrote an e-mail to Motorola about this problematic phone and told them they should recall this model. I am waiting for a reply. I encourage everyone with this phone to do the same. If we all get together on this, Motorola would be forced to correct the problem.

I have Motorola V300 as well and it is just over a year old now (means out of warranty) and it has the same problem with intermittantly no sound from the ear phone/piece built into the phone.
Does anyone know if Motorola has recalled these phones?
Thanks.

They have admitted that there is a known issue with the speakers on them but I dont think that they have done a recall.

Had my v300 for almost 8 months before the speaker went out on it, got a new one shipped to me by T-Mobile, and it had the SAME problem right out of the box. Got ANOTHER one sent to me (next day air for free, which was nice.... or so i thought) and now the NEW phone won't stay connected to a call for more than 5 seconds before restarting the entire phone.
Called and complained for a solid half hour and got them to send me a v330, even though the refused to give me the $15 express shipping for free.
Hope the v330 holds up, or it's all over:P
Moral of the story, let them know what they're doing is just plain wrong and force them to correct the problem.

Has nothing to do with T-Mobile, they do not manufacturer the phones, You didnt get anything special. You obviously qualified for a multiple exchange (replace your model with a new one) or you would have got another V300. Just suprised you need to complain for 30 minutes.
