Hi,
I was looking out for a pda phone with Wi-Fi capabilities and other faetures as below,
latest OS
Can work as a photo album (to store and display pics.)
Wi-Fi connectivity
GPS phone
I liked the Treo 600, but lacks Wi-Fi, Treo 650 however is beyond my budget.
Any help would be appreciated

If u want wi-fi, the phone is bound to be costly. A few phones i know that have wi-fi include the imate jam, O2 XDA series, 9500 communicator. But all of them r high end phones.
Even the treo 650 does not have wi-fi support built-in, but i think it takes a wi-fi SD card.

I have the iPAQ 6315 and am happy with it. It has a bad history, but the latest patches fixed a fair number of problems. Battery life is darn good, and I use a lot of Wi-Fi connectivity and bluetooth. It's great being able to have multiple bluetooth connections.
Fair warning, though. It takes a bit of work to get the most from the phone. The service is better than most Motorola's I dealt with, but not quite as good as a Nokia. Close, though.
It's not a super-fast processor either, but that gives it better battery life. I surf, watch a few hours of movies, have all my emails set up with a sort of push email system, and can do all sorts of stuff on it. Freeware is great.
I wouldn't recommend ANY PPC Phone unless you're willing to take the time to work with it.
The iMate JAM is gorgeous. Seen a few of those. I don't think it has WiFi, though.
XDAII and III are nice, but battery hogs. Really... most fast phones suck juice like a college student at a frat party. If you don't need WiFi, the P910i is schweet beyond measure.

I have just ordered a Treo 650 from my service provider (Rogers). the idea of a smartphone is new to me. and am a total idiot at electronics. do any of you have any tips/tricks for me ?
Anyways, dumb question: what does a wi-fi do for you ?..... how do you add a wifi card to the treo ?
I have an old audiovox thera 2032 that i just use as a PDA.
my purpose for buying the Treo 650 is to run road and navigation maps. do any of you have any ideas about this ?
