I flashed my V551 with multiflashflex tool to R472_G_08.18.40R_PDS002_LP0003_DRM0001_reflash_XLR8.shx and the thing keeps rebooting over and over again. DAMN. This sux.

maybe try removing sim, hopefully it will get stuck at the insert sim screen without rebooting, then reflash, I would suggest maybe a different flash or same flash from a different source.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try that. But here is some more info:
I tried multiple times and saw no change
When I go into Boot Loader mode by pressing * # at same time and starting the phone I see:
Boot Loader
07.E0
SW Version:
R472_G_08.18.40R
Battery OK
OK to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable
At this point, I connect phone back up to PC, and it goes to transfer mode. The phone is detected by the MultiFlashFlex Tool and I can reflash- The phone shuts off, but when I turn it back on, it wont STAY on. Keeps reloading and doesn't detect a network.

That didn't work. I downloaded the same file again and extracted. Loaded the same flash and it didn't work. I also tried an older version R472_G_18.18.16R_0A that didn't work. I got the files from www.xlr8.us/hofo/flash/
When the phone boots, I see my custom wallpaper and I'm able to see my advanced networking seem edit is still there. I can get to that menu, hit search for networks and then the phone reboots. It stays up for a few seconds and just continues rebooting.

Pull up the boatloader and try this. Remember to remove the battery for a few minutes after flashing. Remove the battery for 5 mins, begin boatloader, flash complete, remove battery re-insert and that should help, still searching for signal??? Put next to a phone with high signal. Hope any of that helps.

Used a different flash.
I guess I used a combo flash/flex and now my phone booted to mMode features. Not sure what mMode is. I can make calls but I got a Flex Error: Phone Subsidy-Locked. Will this at all affect my phone bill if I make/receive calls like this?
The file I used was GSM_V551_Cingular-Blue-Divested-041405
All I really wanted to do was upgrade the flash.
SO my current flash is R472_G_08.18.16R_0A
and current flex is: GSPSAN2M0CGEN01NA0D5-1.0.4.5.1.D.0.BH.C.B.P.0.0.0.AT.4.K.C.OK.BU
AND I also lost all my files-custom mp3 ring tones, entire phone book, etc. I did back them up with motokit, but I got an error that I guess has to do with this flex?

I have done this voer 10 times and very time is just one shot of flash and one shot of flex and it done, i don't know why you have this unforunate even here. THe onlydiffirernt is i unlock them before i flash them

PHone looks much better, BUT I still can't backup the files I lost with Motokit. I created a backup on 7/12 and I'm getting "load file list failed" when trying to use the Backup.xml file. Anyone have any suggestions? Anyone...Anyone....Old Fool? Bueller?

Look like you have found the right place to get the file now try the flex that i have suggest to you friend Phonehacker you like it, should be available at the same place you got that flash then try to back up again
