Wanted to give a CSR a good review.

Talked with Laura in Customer Service today. I had an old Nokia 5165 that I had sold on eBay. Before mailing it to MI, I wanted to reset the phone to factory settings, but unfortunately I couldn't remember the security I had set on it three years ago.

It took Laura a few seconds to track down the info on that old of a model, but she found the code to slip around the security code, got me to a set up screen that listed the S/W versions and security codes and there it was. As soon as I saw the security code I recognized it and new it was going to work out.

I guess I've been lucky. I've always had courteous and helpful CSRs to deal with when I've called Cingular. You hear so many horror stories on this forum, I thought it might make some Cingular employees day to hear something positive.

Thats good to hear. You should call Cingular to get the name of Laura's manager so you can pass the word along to her as well.

...or write a letter to the company to let them know. She'll appreciate it, believe me!

A letter would be good if they gave more than their first name during the call. I would imagine that Cingular probably has a multitude of CSRs spread out of multiple locations.

you would imagine right, maybe you could call back and see if the notes indicate which site the representative is at??? Sure you have only talked to one Laura this week
