We need advice on best provider service & rates in UK/Europe, that can then be used in USA upon return (S. Calif). Also, recommended triband/unlocked cell phone.

i personally would reccomend cingular simply b/c u can use it with less complications and there are more roaming partners for overseas usage then any other company really b/c they are gsm!

Thanks for your recommendation of Cingular.
Does Cingular have good coverage in Southern California? And in Europe?

T-Mobile, cheap plans, 1 year contract and they are in UK too.

Oh and on a side note, if you are interested in a provider that will actually unlock your phones, look in the tmobile talk forum for their policy on unlocking cell phones (sticky)
