Hi there,
I cannot seem to locate how to disable the wallpaper option on my 6680, can anybody help me? I just want a plain white background, or something similar, no fancy patterns or pictures.
Many thanks,
Alan

You've got to edit the theme.
The way should be:
Menu -> System -> Themes -> press Options (left button) -> Edit
Now you can change the wallpaper (e.g. deactivate it).

Thanks very much for the response, unfortunately I am still strugging, I cannot locate any "disable" option and even the user defined option under "change" appears to want me to download a file, the help system says this will let me choose an image from the Gallery, but I cannot seem to find this option. Any other ideas? This is trivial but it is bugging me!

Ops, you're right... haven't seen they've disabled this option in Symbian OS 8.
OK, you could do the following:
Download this white background picture
http://www.thegrosser.de/mobiledia/white.gif
(less than 1 kb)
And set it as wallpaper.
But this will only whiten the background in the centre, not the complete screen.

Isnt the Series 60 theme available in Themes?
U could try that. It would give u the blank white screen and the plain theme which would be there on the old Symbian phones (like 3650).
