Old_Fool,

I have a V3 that I need unlocked for overseas use. Where are you located and how long does it usually take to unlock the phones. I use it for business and cant go without for long, if at all really.

So I got a razor v3 phone from some guy he was selling it on the street in S.F...I currently live in napa. It has an old sim card in it so when I went to stick my friends cingular sim card in it, it asked for a password.
Im reading all this stuff about a usb cable or whatever and Im still confused what I need to do to get this thing going.
I was just going to go to cingular and sign up for a plan or whatever and of course they'll give me a chip but I need this password thing...so Im wondering if the phone is stolen. Its been since march since Ive had the phone. and I dont wanna bring it to cingular for them to say ''Oh its stolen'' and then I cant use it.

I found this on the net. Think this can work?

You can SIM unlock your Motorola V3 Razor/Razr easily using our IMEI unlock code solution. Using this service you can quickly acquire the subsidy unlock code to make your Motorola V3 Razor cell phone SIM lock free and usable on any network. All we need to produce your subsidy unlock code is your IMEI, which can be found by pressing *#06# on your V3 Razor's keypad.

Here is how the V3 Razr/Razor unlock works:

1) Press *#06# on your phone's keypad - this will display your IMEI.
2) Type your IMEI in the form below, checking carefully that it is correct.
3) Use the "Buy Now" Button to make the payment.
4) Within the unlock time listed below we will get back to you with your Subsidy/Unlock code.
5) Instructions for using the Subsidy/Unlock code to unlock your phone will be sent with the unlock code

I had been using a Motorola V188 on T-Mobile for the past year in the USA. Now I've moved to another country however I'm unable to use this phone with any of the service providers here. Does anyone know how I could unlock this phone ? I believe it is sim-locked or something like that. I have the data cable & have transferred files before from the computer.
Thanks
