i have a motorola v551, when i call my voice mail box i have it where i don't need to put in a password to hear my messages. but i wanted to know how to check it from a home phone or something like that..........please respond.......thanks.

hit the pound key when your voice mail picks up. Then it will ask you for your password.

how do i know what my password is? if i don't use one to hear my messages from the cell phone itself

Call your provider and they can reset it for you. Some providers have toll free VM backdoor numbers you can use also, say for example if you wanted to check from a pay phone.
