Help me please. When I close my V3, it shows as if it's still open. For example, if I'm in a call and I close my phone, the call will not end and the little cingular symbol is still on the external display.

Nope. It's more than just when I'm in a call. For example, if I close the phone and hold the "shot" button, it doesn't turn on the camera. I can open it and it has the voice records menu up.

Here's another example. When I close the phone, the time NEVER comes on. It just shows the little cingular symbol. It started doing this yesterday. I didn't drop it or get it wet or mess with anything.

if available maybe do a warranty exchange, if no warranty is available im sure flashing wouldnt hurt.

First I would try master reset though

There's no warranty on it. I've tried the master reset and nothing happened. I'm really new to this stuff and I don't understand what "flashing" the phone means.

OK. I bought the data cable, but I don't know how to back up my files. I don't think I have flash or flex files, but I just read those directions so I think I know where they are. After doing all of this, what new stuff will i be able to do with the phone?

Has anyone messed up on this before? Is it fairly simple or should I try to find someone in Houston that can do this type of stuff? Electronics are not one of my strong points.
