Temporary solution for the moment, but yes VZW will block a number for you. With things going the way they are hopefully it will be an option customers will be able to select for themselves online, and for more than one number.

Oh, and I would advise calling the local non-emergency authorities number to file a police report first for harassing calls. It can help speed the process up in case it qualifies.

- He! He! He! I did this little trick on the phone.
Most phones have a divert setting. Most calls are from computers.
I diverted my phone calls to an disconnected phone number, computer acknowledges this and soon stops calling. My friends will text me and I call them. the other was pretty crafty. Sometimes computers will call from the same location with multiple numbers I divert one incoming call to the other number have not heard anything back to date from these numbers after a week of using these methods. The cell phone carriers have methods in place to allow you to block calls, but ain't gonna let the little folk in on it and if they ever do they gonna charge you out the yang for the privilege. I know I am a rebel but my feeling is you should have this option to you without any discussion period, it's call technology folks wake up and quite listening to what they want you to say and do. It is a pain in the butt, but If you turned your phone off and or had the service disconnected they will change their tune and come around to your way of thinking. Hope this helps. draculardw take a bite

I believe it depends on the phone, if your has it, you can either access it from "contacts" or "security"? Thats what it is on my phone.

Verizon Wireless Usage Controls - 4.99 per month. Of course it was marketed for controlling your childs phone usage/calls and so forth but I have just tested it out and it WILL BLOCK specific numbers from calling your cell.

Perhaps another method would be www.vtext.com and use the preferences to block the texts, then have the free 90-day block that customer service will add on. This method has a $0 cost
