You think it's shit getting charged for calls you didn't make on Rogers when you come to Canada? Try having them as your cell phone provider.
Rogers Wireless has the following:
-Expensive Rates
-Expensive phones
-The worst customer service of any carrier.EVER.
-They talk to you like you are a moron
-If you want to cancel, they don't offer to keep you on for cheaper. Instead, they put you on hold and leave you there until you hang up.
-They treat you like a fugitive if you are a minute and a half past the due date of your bill
-They lie.
One of my many shitty stories from this bloody company: I lost my blackberry pearl. I called them all night WHILE i was at a club to avoid any charges that the finder may decide to make. No one answered. I was on hold for at least half an hour to 45 mins.in a club. When I got home at 4:30am I called and reported it lost/stolen. The woman told me that the server was down so she would take my information and enter it later. I called the phone the next morning, still active. Hmm.
Called Rogers. To my . ANGER . it was NEVER ENTERED! And they relaly didn't seem to care. AKA If (which they didn't) the person did make phone calls I would be responsible for paying for them since there was no record of my phone call!
Thinking about that company pisses me off huge.
I hate them! And I'm currently bound by a contract. ughh. Bastards.

before leaving the country press ##002# send on your phone this will disable all call forwarding except for VM (another form of call forwarding) this will work on any GSM phone regardless of carrier. to the carrier (tmobile in this case) in the call detail it looks like you picked up the call.and is almost impossible to determine what has happened as the phone was on a different network

If you have your cell phone in another country and use it or leave it on you will be charged "roaming" because you are NOT in the "nationwide plan" when your in another country. FYI for all of you, CANADA IS NOT PART OF THE USA. If you leave your cell phone on and someone calls, the call gets routed through rogers wireless (t-mobile does not own), rogers charges t-mobile for that use. Then obviously because you did not answer the call is re-routed to t-mobiles vm system in the us. You get charged for the routing of that call. Also, if you are using a calling card with your cell phone, you are still making romaing calls from your cell phone. The only true way to avoid being charged for calls is to either leave your phone off, or get a sim card from another carrier and have your phone unlocked before you go near the border. If you call customer care or go onto the website it explains international charges.

This is a known issue with T-Mobile Customers going to Canada and using the Rogers/Fido Network. T-Mobile is working with Rogers/Fido to resolve the issue. No ETA at this time. but you can call T-Mobile Customer Service @ 1-800-375-1126 to Dispute the charges.

Just to let you know that YOUR PROVIDER is responsible for charges and roaming when out of your country. Rogers is not and will never be affilliated with those crooks in the USA so please get your facts striaght. I have been a rogers customer for 4 years and NEVER have a problem when I travel to the US or abroad.

OK people.here is a secret that no one out there seems to know. Those are not some mysterious charges.and i dont know why some moron didnt just tell you and save you your energy .those charges are from when you had your handset ON.doesnt mean you made any calls.it means that you had it ON and someone called you and left a VoiceMail.what you see are the charges that you occrued from when that tower in wherever you were roaming at was connected that call. its like this .You are in Canada. i call your voicemail.your phone rang.even though you didnt pick up.who the heck you think connected that call to your phone. that roaming tower.NOT TMOBILE! Oh and.they are definitly not our sister company.they arnt even a distant cousin.

Look under Current Billing Issues in StreamLine. I deal with this issue everyday and I have to issue Credits Every Day because of this.

No, it's not.
Here at ATT we have the same policy.
My brother works w/Verizon, in a CDMA compatible country, same thing happens. Please don't make up excuses (as I used to have Tmo)
When I went Germany, I had my phone on - I didn't make any calls - someone calls me, I don't answer, goes to voicemail, I get charged for roaming CALLS in Germany. Same thing happens with my ATT service. As far as I know, every company in the US has similar policies.
