I'm trying to connect e-300 with the pc via infrared device. I have Easy studio and I can't open file manager to transfer images taken with the camera. Don't know what's the problem... It says that it's connected but don't have options to browse the phone... Please help. Thnx

You should use either EasyGPRS or PIMS & File Manager for E300 but not Easy Studio as it is not for E300. By the way, can you see the phonebook in Easy Studio? That is what Easy Studio will do for E300. If you got offline, there is still problem with linking your phone to the computer.

I have a few questions:

1. What OS are you using? Is it XP? Some people have no problem with Win98SE but once change to XP they got problem.

2. Have you confirmed that your computer's IrDA is working properly? Did you get an IrDA icon in the bottom right Notification bar when you place your phone next to the IrDA of your computer?

3. Have you activate your phone's IrDA?

4. Did you change the ports setting in PIMS setup to use IrDA?

5. What speed are you using in PIMS setup? Have you tried other speed such as 57600 and 115200?

6. I suppose you got offline with PIMS. When you use Easy Studio before, did you get it connected or it also shows offline?

I have Windows XP. The infrared device is working fine because I have Motorola phone and I can conect it with the PC. I've turned on irda on the e300 and nothing happens. It says OFFLINE again... I was changing the speed too... Thnx for helping

Depending on the IrDA that you have, it could be a problem related to XP, check the following link for more information:

Hello. I need some help with my Samsung SGH E-300 mobile. I can`t download the videos I`ve made to my PC. I can`t find a software that has that feature. I`ve tryed with the software that comes with the data cable and also with the software form the Samsung's home site. I don`t get it... neither one of them has some utility to extract the videos. Or the pictures that I`ve downloaded trough WAP. So... do you know some software with these feature? Or some trick ? icon_smile.gif

When I started, I got the OFFLINE error too. But the only problem was I didn't have the hardware (my data cable) set to the same com as the PIMS software.

Try checking your COM ports for your software and your infared device icon_rolleyes.gif . Mine defaulted to COM1 on the samsung software and COM3 on the datacable driver. So, I just changed PIMS to COM3 and OFFLINE went away.
