Hi I am wanting to purchase a new phone, is there someplace I can go on the web and find out if it is compatible with alltel?
Thanks

alltel doesnt have any iden phones, and i dont really know much about iden, but i know a phone with java isn't a cdma phone, and alltel is cdma, so i highly doubt you can take that phone and have it work with alltel

I 99% sure it won't work. It really depends what carrier you had before. But pretty much the only other phones I've been able to activate are Verizon and a couple of little local companies. Never an iden though.

I work at a Sprint/Nextel and AllTel sales location, I get asked that question a LOT. No it won't work for various reasons. One the i355 works off of a different frequency, and two it's service is controlled by a sim card which AllTel phones do not use. Too bad Motorola doesn't market a tough phone like that for other service providers, it would definitely sell.
