i just bought a e720 and am currently trying to add stuff into my phone through the program pims and file manager, however when i open the pims program and try to reload, all i get is a COM1: connection error ( i have tried to fix this by changing it to the other choice that i have which is COM3 and that also doesnt work) and on the bottom of the window it says that im still offline and as a result im completely stuck as to where to go from now. any help would be much appreciated! milly~

Make sure you got a compatible cable. E720 need a special cable and not many models are compatible to E720. As far as I know from Mobileaction, the compatible models are:
E620 / E720 / P730 / P738

Well, in that case, the problem should be related to setting or driver. Besides the cable, does it come with software CD? It sounds like it doesn't come with the PIMS which is strange if they only provide the cable but not the software. Anyway, you can get the PIMS from Samsung in the following link:
http://www.samsung.com/search/search.asp?qt=E720&la=en&col=wu+ws+downl oad&tabpage=1&radio=1&select=0&x=9&y=10
By the way, when you connected your phone to the cable, did it detect new hardware and is it kind of plug and play? If not, you probably have to install a driver for the cable. You have to get that figure out or else it still won't work with PIMS.
