Hi, I just bought a 6610 and when the phone goes to screensave mode. I noticed that the clock is very dim. Is it normal? or there's something wrong with my phone?

It does that on mine as well. I suspect it might be a power save option.

that sounds right. the phone has to conserve battery life and by turning off the backlight it saves power. If u were able to view the clock properly then it would still b consuming as much power as when u are using the phone. i.e. the backlight would b on......
btw i also have a 6610... swwwwwwweeeeeeeet phone

Before I bought my 6610, I owned a 3530 which makes use of a digital clock as its screensaver too. However, the difference is that you can clearly see the clock in the 3530, whereas, as the others said, the clcok is hardly visible in the 6610's standby mode. If that was meant to conserve power, then why is the opposite done on another Nokia phone? Just wondering.
Btw, I find the screen of the 6610 to terribly lack contrast. Do your 6610 units have the same problem?

Maybe you go to an Nokia-Shop and update the firmware... my 6610 has the 4.18 firmware and the clock locks much better than with the 3.09 firmware.

My phone already has firmware v. 4.18. I'll try updating it to 4.28.
