If you have insurance use it, if not you will probably have to look into getting a new phone.

If it is not working, your SOL as most phone have a round sticker in the back inside battery compartment. It turns red/pink, an indication that the phone has been exposed to heavy moisture. They will know......

If your phone got wet, there is nothing you can do about.
Every company that give phone insurance, state in their policy that they
don't cover any water or moister damage.

As well as Cingular. It is odd though, the company the handles Insurance for Cingular (Lock/Line) will cover water damage for thier customers but not for Verizon customers, who also uses Lock/Line.

Maybe it has something to do with the number of customers for the respective companies who have claimed water damaged in the past. Maybe Cingular has far less.

I took a plunge into a river with my Razr. The phone was completely soaked and died immediately. I took out the battery and sim card then let it dry out for 3 days. To my surprise, the Razr powered right up and was working fine. I've got a bright red dot behind my battery voiding my warranty, but the phone still works. There is some slight discoloration to the screen. It just leads me to believe if you let a phone dry out completely it will start working again. My only advice would be to wait atleast 3 days to make sure all the condesation is evaporated.

the trick is if you get water on the phone DONT power it on. because if you try to power it on with water inside it will either mess up for ever. or you might be lucky and it will say good. i bought a phone from a guy a while back that dropped it in water. it was working fine but for some reason the speaker didnt work. it was because at that point when he turned it on there was still water in the speaker. other than that if you know that there is water in it. RUBBING ALCOHOL will make it dry. because it evaporates quick. so if you are phone savvay then try to rubb it down with alcohol with a ear swab. then let it sit for a day or so. then try to turn it on.
good luck guys/gals
