thanks for that xXxSamsungxXx.
I think that's only for a V3 that has been flashed already with the Monster pack. This phone is an unaltered sim free phone and I'm sure it would void my warranty if I flashed it.

Your correct it would void the warranty and is not guarenteed to fix your problem, If your phone is still covered by your 12 month manufacturers warranty I would choose that route.

Thanks again - I managed to get it working eventually without flashing and did a master reset which seems to have worked for now - I am waiting to hear back from the supplier about a replacement, so hopefully it will work in the meantime.

I've had my V3 for only 4 1/2 mths. The other day I went to use it and I had the same problem........only the off and on button worked. I called Cingular and of course they had me try 3 different times to do a "master reset" to see if that worked. It didn't.
They said that they would do an "exchange by mail" for me. I asked them if it would be a "NEW" phone they would send me since mine was only 4 1/2 mths. old and Ipaid so much for it. They told me they could not guarantee that, it's whatever they have in stock. That had me mad enough, but the joke was that when I got the replacement phone (refurbished or not) my warranty was still going to be effective from when I got my original phone. (it doesn't start w/the receipt of the replacement phone!!) What kind of a deal is that after you spend all of that money on a phone?
Well, I got the replacement phone the other day and guess what?? It's refurbished. I knew it would be otherwise why wouldn't they just let you go into a Cingular store to turn your phone in and get a new one? I've been a Cingular customer for 10+ years and I think this is it for me with them. BTW, has anyone ever had a problem w/having their phone plugged into a car charger and going to disconnect it and finding that your whole phone is VERY hot?

If you use EOM car charger is little better but bewarn, car charger is for emergency use only, extensive used of it over time will fry your board. I have seen to many of them with that problem. The owner bought the fone second hand cheap, no wall charger so he figue car charger is cheaper so he use that and guess what 3 months later fone don't charged any more !!!! Sent it to me i open it up and surely enouhgt the board was fried!!!.
So yes you phone will be hot if using non EOM card charger and warm with EOM car charger.

The V3 has know issues of not charging properly with non OEM chargers, car chargers are not designed to be primary chargers, spend the money and get an OEM wall charger.
