my keypad stopped working with the exception of the on/off button as well. I began searching forums here to see what I could do, and every1 here it seemed couldn't find a solution. WELL. as you probably noticed, you can still recieve txts and calls and such. I had one of my friends call me, and rather than hit the green answer button, you'll notice the razr has an "ignore" or "accept" option with the top two buttons on the phone. hit answer with the top left button on your phone, and it WILL ANSWER. once you've connected and start talking, amazingly enough, all the keys on my keypad started working again.
I did work for western wireless, alltel, and cingular customer service call centers for a few years, but I must say this is one of the strangest things I've encountered with a phone.
luckily I have a masters degree in kickass.

Oh, and to all you people complaining about your refurbished phone:
new phones cost even the cellphone companies a LOT of money.
You get your NEW phone for "free" because you sign a 2 year agreement with activation, meaning they get their money back in the long run, or if you cancel early, they still get their money back.
If your phone breaks in the middle of a contract, and you have phone insurance, they send you refurbished phones b/c it's a phone that works. period. If they sent you a brand new phone with all the bells and whistles every time you get drunk and drop your phone in the urinal (which was actually about 50% of the calls I received regarding broken phones) then the cell phone company wouldn't make nearly as much money.
Had my phone broken permanently, I would have gotten on ebay and ordered one from there and reprogrammed it, but that's difficult.

Had the same problem with razr keypad.about 10 minutes of hot air from blow dryer seems to have done the trick.

same problem here, except the only thing i can do is turn my phone ON. It won't turn off, and it keeps changing the ring style by itself. It has to find the network or register the network every time i turn it on.
i tried what people suggested before-except the top casing is stuck.
my phone has no water damage either.
whats wrong with it?
luckily, i have a spare until my contract expires, but said spare is also a Razr, so who knows of the same thing will happen to that one too.
