Yes. You will have to extend your contract, and pay full price though.
Why not wait for your new every 2?

Would he really have to extend his contract?
I mean if he was willing to pay full price for a phone ... and if he "lost" his current phone, so that he'd need to buy a new one ... wouldn't he just be able to comply with the old contract?
Of course, it depends on where you are in your contract, because if you can wait for new every 2, that's the best way to go.

if you tell them that you lost it they will want a police report. You dropped it in a lake is a better idea.

Full retail for cell phones are much more than you think. The most stripped down, featureless, no outer display phones/non-flip still run $140 full price. If you want a full price camera phone, that'll get ya maybe $200+ to upwards of $400 depending on the model.
It will not extend your contract if purchase full price.

Depends on where you look too. For instance Motorla sells phones directr from their website without service agreements. th v265 is $179 and if you use the promo cod MOTO15 you'll get a 15% discount on that. That v710 and E815 are each $269 (IIRC) Verizon puts these higher in thier stores

When you get a new phone in the middle of your contract you acutually don't have to pay the full retail price of the phone. All you pay is the sale price. So if you want a phone that is 99.99, and that is for a two year contract, the representative will extend your account another two years so you can get a new phone for the sale price.
