Hi TexasCSR,
I moved to a small town in FL about 3 months ago. I subscribed to Cingular cell phone plan about 2 months ago. One of the reasons I picked Cingular is the "Unlimited M2M". When I got my bill, I found out that M2M is NOT actually unlimited. Whenever I call another cingular/att phone at night and weekend, my night and weekend (N&W) minutes get depleted. I talked to CSR and discussed my bill with her. She explained to me that even though the bill is noted "w", my N&W minutes has not been depleted. I did my own investigation by examined my 14 pages of phone bill and prove that the CSR was wrong. My N&W minutes HAD been depleted. I talked to another CSR and she told me that if I am worried about going over my minutes, then I should pay $10 more to upgrade to unlimited N&W. I told her, why do I have to pay extra for Cingular mistake by not doing accounting right in the first place?
I believe that this is a false advertizing and a bait-and-switch case that Cingular pulls one over their customers. I wish cingular stops advertizing "unlimited M2M" if they don't intend to honor what they advertize.
I am thinking about filing a complaint with the FTC and the FCC regarding this issue if cingular does not fix this accounting error or stop the advertizing "unlimited M2M".
By the way, around my home, the signal strength is nearly NONE. Sometimes my calls are dropped and sometimes the reception is so bad that I can't hear what the other party is saying or the other party could not understand what I said.

I think if you look at the contract it says something along the line that minutes are drawn from n&w first, m2m next, then peak minutes. Take a look at your contract to verify.
You still are getting unlimited m2m in that if all you ever talked to was other cingular customers, you don't run out of minutes even after you run totally through your n&w alotment. I think what you are saying is that you don't want your n&w minutes touched and reserved for talking to non-cingular phones.
Personally I do like the unlimited m2m options AND the unlimited n&w. Don't have to be concerned with it at that point regardless of whom I'm talking to.

well i really think you should check your contract. I have unlimited M2m also, and i am very sure my m2m minutes come off at anytime, day or night. I have 5000 night and weekend minutes anyway, so i'm not worried about losing out on my minutes, but there are some stipulations you have to watch out for.

If you can use up 5000 minutes in a month, M2M or not, maybe you need to look into another carrier that offers unlimited anytime minutes. I personally use Cricket.

m2m are pretty much free PEAK min to all cingular wireless phones, your night and weekend min are ALL call made after 9 pm (7pm if have early eav.) its ot false advertising, its miscomunication, if you want to be mad at someone go yell at the person who sold you the phone, and plan

But when they show the multi-million dollar ads on TV/Radio they never disclose that the M2M will be depleted if you use it during N&W hours. That's why I believe this is a false advertising.

This is what I was told. Let say I make/receive call to/from friends, relatives who are on Cingular network (and I have a lot) and use all 5000 minutes N&W. The next person I call who is not on Cingular network, I will be charged for the minutes I use over the 5000 N&W.
