Hi. This might be in the wrong section but I couldn't find an approapriate one.
I'm undecided on which phone to get. My current contract just ran out so I'm wondering if anyone can help me.
My first choice at the moment is the T610. It has everything I want really (Although it's an STN screen and the pics are not 640x480).
Bottom line of this topic is what phone do people recommend. I like features and quality ones at that.
My new contract will be for 24 months so I'll need something that will still be decent for a while.
I was tossing up between the T610, the Nokia 3650 and the 7250. I lean towards the T610 and then I check some service providers and the other phones are more expensive......Does this mean they're better?
If anyone can help it'd be greatly appreaciated.
Thanks

It's not worth going something better considering I'm gonna have the T610 for 24 months?
What about the STN screen. Is that ok? Viewable in sunlight?

I'm in Maribyrnong.
At the moment, SRP is $759.
I'm not worried that much about the screen so I'll probably get it. Then again, maybe I should wait for the Nokia 6600. That seems good.

I stayed in St Kilda for 4 months a few years back!! Coffee Palace backpackers for 2 months over Xmas, then moved into a house near Albert Park till just after the Grand Prix! Do you know that area at all? Melbourne is a great City!! Infact while I travelled it was my favorite City!
$700 is about £300!! Is that with a contract??

I think that if you plan on keeping your phone for 24 months you might want to wait for a couple of months for the autumn portfolio from SE. The t610 is great and everything, but I wouldn't mind trading the STN display for a TFT one. The screen is the only downside with the t610 so if you are going to use it outside in daylight - wait for a model with TFT display.

adey1.....Yeah I know the area. Used to play footy down there a while back. $759 is buying outright or it's like $1500 and up on a plan over 24 months. (I just don't have $759 to spend on a phone right now)
cfj, that's what I was wondering if I should wait for a new model phone or get the T610. Only thing, I don't want to wait 3 months to get a phone so being impatient, I'll probably just get the T610.

im not a paitient homan being...!!! BTW, Do you know the name of the Model with TFT screen... + i guess it'll be like $400, instead of $200...
SO--- The curent T610, with STN. Is it really that hard to read the screen?? I recently had a T300, and i can easily read the screen, even in Sunlight.. oke, i might need to make a lil' shadow!
