tell you'll get rid of your sevice if they don't honur their promise, my mom kinda did the same thing with cingular. She had to switch the billing back to her name and they lock you into a new contract and she told the person if it affected the upgrades she would cancel the service because they screwed her once when the billing was changed and she made sure it wasnt gonna happen again.

Last week I upgraded from the $39.99/$20.00 (400/100 min) America's Choice Family SharePlan to the America's Choice II Family SharePlan $60.00/$9.99 (700 min) and I received 2 new phones FREE on the "New Every Two" plan.

Yeah...but that was Buy One Get One free. You really only got the NE2 on one of the lines.

JSS,
A dad takes his five kids out for ice cream to celebrate the birthday of the youngest. There are two ice cream shops right across the street from each other. The dad leads his family into the first, but the owner of the second shop yells out, "Come to my shop!" The dad considers this but he remembers going to that shop last year and finding hairs in the ice cream. He politely says, "No thanks, I'll give this shop a try."
"But I give free hot fudge on my ice cream," comes a frantic reply from the owner.
"Free hot fudge, you say? Well that may outway the potential bad experience I've had," says the father as he leads his children across the street.
He pays, and scoops of vanilla are dumped into bowls in front of eager children. The owner then brings out the hot fudge as the children "Oooh" and "Aaaah." Birthday boy holds up his bowl and receives lots of gooey fudge. The owner then takes the fudge back in to the kitchen.
The perturbed father follows him and asks him what's up. The owner points to his computer where a well-hidden webpage indicates the "fudge special" only applied to the youngest in a group.
Now tell me that this owner isn't a crook?
Now imagine this guy had duped the dad into paying for ice cream for two whole years before revealing his catch. Hopefully now you'll understand the frustration.
Everyone Else,
On another note, since Verizon considers the family share plan an extra line of only $9.99 value, why don't you ask them to cancel your primary line and keep the secondary going for that price. You will find they will quickly see that it is part of the whole package - TWO LINES for more than the cost of 34.99 a piece.

I am encountering the same issue. We signed up for the family share plan three years ago, and were informed of the benefits of the new every two system.
We purchased our phones at a Verizon store, not a franchise or agency. Based on the representations made to me at the time we signed our contract, I believed we would have two $100 credits in addition to purchasing new phones at whatever promotional price was available.
There was, to the best of my knowledge, absolutely no information provided on the web site regarding this plan stating NE2 was applicable only to the primary account/phone.

now how very true that is, and for those that don't like the new every 2 program, which other carriers currently provide this? The prices are no different for new customers vs. current customers with an eligible upgrade on that line, and if the main line gets the NE2, then they now have one better than the new customer.I don't see the problem here.and I know this has been mentioned, the BOGO and BAG3 deals out there can cover most situations like described in many of these posts.

All Verizon has to do is reel you in and then who cares what you do 'cause they've got you in for 2 years. They dont' really "care" about their customers. Either that or they don't care to train their reps to be customer friendly.

ok. so i work for verizon wireless. and the ne2 credit is a perk if you're wanting to be primary on the account. 100.00 for a new phone. heck yeah most of the phones are going to be free. i've had service now for 5 years and since i work for vzw, i do not get to take advantage of ne2 credits. so my advice. do it. super deal. and as for this
"i can switch the simcard to a different phone and keep all of numbers.Verizon phones i have to go the store and get them to do it.plus pay an additional fee.Hell no! "
"getting us to do it" is a service we provide, so yeah, there is a charge.
and if you are a verizonwireless my account customer it's free of charge for backup protection
but say your phone is stolen, along with your sim card you and you still have that extra phone, you're going to have to pay for a new sim card anyways. and all your numbers are gone also, assuming that you did save them to the card in the first place.
so why not just do the ne2 get the free phone, sign up for my account online, and save your numbers so they're NEVER ever lost, even if your phone is.
