actually. it's no wonder that you can't get good service. you're rude, and if you were rude to me i'd jut smile and tell you to have a good day.
and i work at verizon wireless also.so as for the training, believe me. it's very thorough.
and i work very hard to keep my customer's happy but rude ones like you, make it hard. sorry. no offense.

All Verizon has to do is reel you in and then who cares what you do 'cause they've got you in for 2 years. They dont' really "care" about their customers. Either that or they don't care to train their reps to be customer friendly.

And for the the leading US cellular carrier, VZW also has the lowest churn rate out of the other carriers. People can claim that VZW pays for articles to say good things about the service, but the number of people who say they keep the service for it's reliability and good service outweigh the number of people who complain. The numbers speak for the service. But people go more out of their way to complain. And I'm sure not all those customer were "reeled in" with deceit. One thing that should be worked on is the honesty with the sales, like the contracts signed in stores. People do rely on our quality service from start to finish, and the contracts don't always show what a sales rep may convey to the customer.

If you had read your contract, or listened to the sales rep at the point of sale, you would never have this issue. I think it makes sense that you only get a free phone on your primary line. You get the same discount as other customers on the other lines, you don't pay an activation fee, and you can get discounts on accessories when you do this, verizon also offers bogo deals about every 2-3 months.

I actually just went through this with Verizon. I went in and talked with someone about it. The funny thing is that for 9 years I was able to upgrade my phone every 2 as well as my wife’s. It use to be that every verizon customer was able to get a new phone every 2 years with the $100 towards the new phone. Now they only do the primary phone and didn't let there already customers know about the change. This my friends is crap!

All I know is that when I upgraded to the family share plan I asked the clerk specifically if the NE2 was on both phones. I was told "YES" in two years I could upgrade both phones.

Also, when I look at my account online, all 3 of my phones have the NE2 bar telling me when I can upgrade my phone. The two on the Family Share plan are about 18 months from now and the one on a separate plan in Dec '07.

Upgrades are available on the secondary lines, just not the NE2, and yes, in stores sometimes people get misled. Similar to being misled at any sales outlet. Online shows the "date that you can get discounted equipment," not "date for ne2." It shows the NE2 date for the eligible devices. And also yes, sometimes an error will occur and some lucky person will have available upgrades NE2 on all lines.

so seriously I just got on the family plan around November of 06 and in the family plan. we use verizon dsl, landline, and we currently have 3 verizon phones. i just read that this does not include the family share plan. this is quoted off of the verizon website

"7. I have an account that has a number of lines under your Family Share plan. Am I eligible for New Every Two?
The primary line is eligible to participate in New Every Two. Secondary lines are not eligible for the program."

but yet I have a table on there that says when i can get "discounted pricing"? is that just a lie? any information?

Discounted pricing means that you will get the one or two year promotional contract price. EVERY line gets a discount after 22 mos of their 24 mo contract.

Full retail price of phones is hundreds of dollards, so when they are sold for $30 or $50, that is a huge percentage off. HENCE THE NEED FOR CONTRACT. They hooked you up by giving you the phone for $50 or so, now the company has to make their money back. Phone companies don't mark up the price of equipment, they just help make it more affordable.

OK, now back to the NE2 discount, these secondary lines pay for $9.99 a month for 22 mos. let's just say that's $220 for your contract, and then Verizon is just supposed to turn around and give half of that money back!? They would go under in less than three years!

Everyone thinks the towers go up and that's it. everything you're billed is all profit after that. Totally not true, it cost to upkeep and expand THE MOST RELIABLE NETWORK. They spend BILLIONS, yes with a B, on expanding the network and it will be noticeably different service with these bargain companies. If you want a cheaper bill, I hope you plan on living and working and conducting all phone calls from the major interstate systems. Don't even think of exiting or your service is lost.

i was wonder if you were the primary user and you want to get a free phone for your family members, couldn't you get the phone that they want for your own line temporarily, then transfer the phone to your family member's service so that they'll be able to use and just switch back to your old phone?

Unless I'm mistaken, the NE2 differs from the annual upgrade plan, where users paying at least $49.99/month can upgrade every year at discounted pricing provided they sign a new two year agreement. Is that correct?
