I solved it (after looking through other posts) Through walmart get free ringers (25 cent pix message fee (better than 2.99))
Go to www.walmart.com
Click Music
Click CD STORE (thanx bass_master)
Find your favorite artist
Go to track listings
Right click on Mp3 audio and select save target as...
save as what ever u want (no need to put any .qcp or .mid)
(save it to the desktop windows users)
then on the desktop icon right click and press send to... mail recipiant
that will atatch the file to the email
Now send it to yournumber@vzwpix.com
wait to recieve the message then when it arrives open it and hear it
then click otions and SAVE SOUND and it should be under ringers now
it may be muffly but just adjust the ring volume to where it sounds good.

Hey, thanks for reposting this...
When I posted it back in March it was a pretty new idea.
Just a few helpful hints to make life easier... Be sure to use a DATA CABLE to put files in to the phone. This eliminates the 'audio quality loss' and will give you a very loud and clear song.
There are more song samples available in the "Music Downloads" section than in the regular CD Music section at walmart.com.
The memory warnings in the original post should be watched - http://forums.mobiledia.com/topic26837.html - just incase you insert too many ringers into your phone.
Also, other sites samples work fine as long as they are an MP3 style file.
Other than that - I got nothing new...
Thanks again!
