Is the data cable just a standard USB cable, or is there something special about it? I already have the software and dont want to buy the cable if I don't have to. (I have several at work). How can I configure it to a com port? Thanks for the help!

If your looking for a cable for the V3 its nothing special, a regular digi cam MINI USB cable will do. If you bring your phone to work just fit the mini and go from there, the com port config is all later when you get the software installed and ready to go. Well be waiting to assist you if needed.
