Hi all...
First of all thank you for all the hot tips on this singular phone... I live in México and its obvious that I', a total newb on this things...
I have a couple of q's that would really like if u could help me:
Is r374_g_0e.40.64r firmware version enough to enable video recording ??
I've done everything on the walkthrough you posted and nothing seems to make it work... maybe I'm just doing it all wrong and should go back and start all over again... just want to be sure about the firmware version.
And, if I update the firmware of my phone, does it has anything to do with my cel company ? I mean, will it work after I update the firmware ? Is there ahyway to backup that particular firmware so I can go back where I was ?
Thanx in advance...
Cheers from the place where tequila was invented

after activating the video recording on my phone everything was going fine until i noticed that the phone kept telling me that memory was low every time i got a txt message. There was tons of space left on the phone.
Also, i noticed that the odd time the phone actually deletes all my messages sometimes.
anyone shed any light on this subject? Thanks

Lots of space left on the phone but the sms storage is set to the sim card, just go to seem 0032_0001 offset 40 -bit 6: SMS storage (unchecked for phone, checked for SIM). Uncheck bit 6 to store to phone and that error should go away.
Next problem can be fixed on your phone. Menu>messages>menu>inbox setup>autocleanup>none

If you do the modifications yourself (without my video.rar) then no nothing will be lost, if you use my file the seems/mma files may have different default settings then you phone and things may change.

Thanx Samsung,
Now, I I will not ask if it is safe to update my frimware, cause warnings about doing so are all over the place... But, what happens to my carrier configuration ? can I back up my actual phone config ?
Is there anyway to backup that particular firmware so I can go back where I was ?
I'd like to have video recording, but still like the phone the way it is today...
Any suggestions ?

Yes you can backup your flash, but change your flash will not change anything visually (unless you go to the new 42.0CR as it has newer looking battery/signal icons. But if you go with 42.09R which is new enough for the mod, then you will not see anything different except more available memory and multiple letter phonebook searches.

My files are for Cingular/T-Mobile. I made them before I even got my own V3, they were sent to me from 2 members here. Depending on the flex, the mma files may be different aol instead of IM or visa versa for example.
