OK I'm back again to ask a question.
I originally needed to enable video on my 2 black razrs. But I got very lucky after scouring all of Canada and my dealer got me a pink v3 for my lady.

Cool thing is that hers is totally different. The menu's are different and it has video already.

So if I flash mine to a new enough software, can I back up her seems and load them into my phone to enable video?

Yeah you can try it, would back up your original seems first though. Or if you want I created a walk through for doing it with your original seems here: http://www.motox.info/showthread.php?t=657

It makes sense to me that it would work. It would be the same as downloading my seems editing them and uploading only it saves me the editing step.
Both phones are from the same dealer on the same plan so it shouldn't affect much.
I'll let you know how it goes. Gotta find PST 6.7 to get flashed first though....

I have another small problem but i don't know if it came about after deleting the bulk of the audio files off my V3, or when i enabled the video camera.

Everytime i play a media file, be it a video or a tone, a pretty noticable buzz stays emits out of the speaker on the back of the phone for around 50 seconds or so. Its kinda like a hum of silence but pretty audible. Not a big deal but I'm just wondering why the hell its happening. Pressing buttons while the hum is going on seems to stop it for a split second, like as if it was an inverted beep icon_ermm.gif

I messed up when i deleted the audio files off first time, because i didnt make all the ring details silent, so i deleted the .db files and uploaded them all back on using the Rogers backup of a V3 that is linked to somewhere on the forum. Second time round i did it right.

Any ideas?

Also, the videos i make with the V3 transfer to my computer as .mp4's, but wont play in any media player whatsoever. But if i change the extension of them to .3gp's, they will play in real player.
Any clue as to how to get them to play via windows media player/winamp etc?

Well I don't get it. I'm not technologically challenged or anything so I'm stumped. My computer won't even recognize my phone.
I plug it in and it pops up a USB device error.

The phones didn't have CD's so I never thought of drivers but I found em online and installed them. Does the phone need to be powered on to register with the computer?

First I gotta say, I love you guys. No really...

OK, so I flashed my phone(finally) Now the "hellomoto" turns into Motox with the intro video. Can that be changed? Doesn't really matter but a custom intro video would be cool.

Now I have a green X on the left upper corner, and the battery icon is a bit different(green instead of having bars inside).

I'm sure I saw it here somewhere but I can't find out how to change those.

later today I'll try the SEEM edits for video.

You guys rock!!

The MotoX intro and shutdown animation is part of the firmwares DRM. You can change it using ShxCodec. The intro is at 927(176x220) and the shutdown is at 928(176x220). The new signal bar is also part of the DRM. Inner Signal bar DRM are at:
389 (22x15)
398 (22x15)
399 (22x15)
400 (22x15)
401 (22x15)
402 (22x15)
