I dont know what the hoo haa is about. It took me five minutes to flash my phone, upload the seems and install the new menu items. My space on my v3 also jumped from 7 megs to just over 8 megs. plus video is working fine.
Samsung, please could you tell me how you got the memory to over 10 megs? after this reflash i gained just over 1.5 megs

Dude, YOU are the MAN!!!
Thank you for those easy to follow instructions at the very beginning of this post. Thanks to you I now have unlimited video on my Black Cingular V3 Razr. Awesome!!!
You did miss a couple of minor points though. While some people may breeze right through these points that seem obvious, others need to be held by the hand a little more.
I have made a few suggestions to your original post that just might help alleviate some of the confusion that people have been posting on here.
Added to your original post below, are my comments (Bolded within Parenthesis)
= = = = =
THE NEWB GUIDE
Part 1 (What you Need to get)
-buy data cable (This is the same cable that many digital cameras and other devices use.)
(-Download WINRar (search Google) so you can unpack P2KMan and V3 Video.rar)
-download p2kman
(-Plug in your phone. Windows will find it and ask you to install. Point to your PK2Man/Drv folder for the drivers. Windows will go through this process 4 or 5 times to load all the different Motorola V3 devices.)
-download V3 Video.rar I put together
-Check Firmware on your phone and make sure it is 90R or newer and has boot loader 8.23 or newer. I recommend R374_G_0E.42.08R which has the 8.26 boot loader. To check firmware press *#9999# or menu>settings>phone status>other information>S/W Version.
(You recommend R374_G_0E.42.08R but didn’t explain what to do with it. How do we load it on to our phone?)
Part 4 (Uploading New Menu Files)
SNIP
-When list is done updating click on the restart phone button, when p2kman says phone is disconnected remove data cable. (I never got the “Phone is disconnected” message. My phone just powered down and then back up)SNIP
= = = = =
In closing, thanks so much once again for the mod and I hope you and others may find this to be helpful.

I opted to go with the advanced method because I am not with cingular or t-mobile. I upgraded to the recommended firmware. Then i edited the seems and now when i select new video in the video menu i get the viewfinder for a splt second and then it sends me back to video menu. Anyone else come across this? Did I miss something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You must have missed something, double check seem edits/try a master reset if everything is fine.
