I have also downloaded the blank.nol as provided by the link
http://www.encodinginfo.org.uk/nokia/blank.nol. It works fine the operator logo was removed, the following day the operator logo from the service provider is back again . The blank op logo is gone even u turn it "on" from the phone settings.

Some service providers send an overwriting signal, which can "deactivate" the OP logo.

Hi,
Intially the blank logo link provided by johnsontys, didnt work! It got saved on my Handy but override the Orange logo...!!!
I then tried O2-UK logo from http://www.encodinginfo.org.uk/nokia/ it too got saved but didnt displayed... then I switched off my Handy, took Sim card out, wiped it a little and placed it back and O2-UK logo appeared as I switch on...!!!
I then downloaded Blank.nol again and it worked without even switching off and taking out sim again...!!!
Its sometimes depends on ur SIM and Phone compatibility and on "Phone reading the sim"... (Just like Microsoft, Bug...!!!??? Reboot...!!!!)
Files made in Logomanager are fully compatible with Nokia all models. and .nol files too can be uploaded thru Nokia PC Suite, as far as I have tried!!!
| immortal1 wrote: | Just wanted to say.. That URl worked perfect with my Nokia 3200.. WAP'd it.. Screen said Operator Logo Received, saved it and now.. Waaaaala.. No more AT&T Wireless in front of my background!
Thanks for the link!!

I am able to send an operator logo to my phone but the "logo" is not trasparent. All the space is being filled with white...thus I have a white colour rectangle as operator logo instead of a transparent one.
I have also downloaded the blank.nol as provided by the link http://www.encodinginfo.org.uk/nokia/blank.nol but the Nokia graphics just could not read the file. Neither can it read the gif after I rename it.
There must be some steps that I made a mistake but I just do not know how to get rid of the operator logo.
Thus I need some assistance here as I cant have a transparent logo. |
1. mistake: Logomanager is not compatible with the Nokia 6610 (or any/nearly all other color-display phone)
2. mistake: the .nol-file is for WAP-downloading via you cellphone, not for downloading it via your computer and than upload it to you cellphone. Just open the link within you cellphone via WAP, after that you get a message on the screen "Operator Logo Received", just klick options and save it. Only costs you have are the one for the WAP-connection. |

Hey, everyone -- thanks for the info. I have a nokia 6610 w/T-mobile as my provider. MobiMB wouldn't change my logo no matter what I did. After much experimentation and a conversation with a rude T-mobile rep who hung up on me, I d/l the logo provided by chadiwrx (http://www.encodinginfo.org.uk/nokia/blank.nol) and after I restarted the phone the logo was gone. Suck on that T-mobile!
Sidenote: For those STILL having problems, you can use photoshop (or whatever) to create a wallpaper with a black top or just a stripe where the op logo is and work around that. It'll take a little work to get it just right, but it might be worth it to you. I played with one with an entirely black background and the op logo (in black text) was not visible.
Thanks again to everyone!

Hi,
I recently bought a Nokia 6820 phone with AT&T service in Minnesota, US and I would like to get rid off the operator logo. I tried going to the sites mentioned above to download a blank logo with AT&T mMode on my mobile but it said that the site were unavailable.
I tried to make PC Suite work with my USB Kensington bluetooth device but couldn't. The only way i transfer files is thorught the Windcomm software that I got with my Kensington Bluetooth device.
I have a blank logo on my phone which I uploaded from my laptop, but I don't know what to do with it.
So are there any other sites where I can download the blank logo or upload one without using PC Suite?
Please help me out.
Thanks.

I created the 1x1" transparent 8-bit grayscale .gif file, sent it to my phone via infrared, saved it into the Gallery. But when I go to Settings, Display Settings, the "Operator Logo" option is grayed out! It says "No logos in phone memory". Yet it DOES display "ATT Wireless" on my phone.
Any help here would be appreciated. TIA...

The option is grayed out because you don't have an active logo.
The option is only active when a logo is set, you can't set a logo with it, only deactivate and reactivate it.
