Dear friends,
My friend got me a phone last september under 1 yr contract from tmobile. But this March, I changed the account under myself. Does this mean that I have signed a fresh one-year contract from this March?
if yes, is there any way of getting out of this contract?
Thanks in advance,
Ashok

I would like to know whether my first year contract will end by this september or not. I did talk to a couple of representatives who didnt have a clue of it.
I am not leaving in a hurry. I havent had any problems with Tmobile as such. But if they say that the contract is there till March 2006, I will feel cheated.

Aski I think you want to leave T-Mobile. If you did a change of liability and put it in your own name your contract should not be extended...that doesn't mean it may have been on accident which we can fix if you call in and explain the situation. Yet something does not sit right....I know personally I love my DSL service and I am constantly having to renew my contract...well once a year, but I don't mind because the service is so awesome....so what has happened to make you feel unhappy?

I have called to speak to CSR for about 4 times in the past week now and some Account Specialists also. No one has been able to give me an answer and they hung up for 3 of the calls. I have even e-mailed the support but havent received any response.
I was mainly interested in a phone upgrade. Since other providers are giving phones for free if I sign a contract, I was expecting to get a nice phone. ( I love my V300). But I guess I wont be getting a free phone from T Mobile.
Will be you able to help me out Technical Care?

All you need to do is dial 611 from your handset and ask if you are eligible for an upgrade. I am really not sure how you are getting hung up on aski....T-Mobile is not in the business of doing that. It is a simple process. You don't need to be out of contract to be eligible for an upgrade you only have to have 11 months of service after your last discounted phone.

I did talk to a representative and thankfully he said that the contract was only till this september.
Abt the upgrade, TMobile is asking $269 for a RAZR.

the full rebate is known as same as new customer pricing....You can get a rebate on a phone 1 month after you got a new phone, but you will only get a small discount compared to if you wait the entire 11 months you will get same as new customer pricing which means what you see on the website is what you will pay. In addition we offer better deals if you do your upgrade online sometimes so look in to that as well.
