I'm trying to, but I'm not sure on what to learn first. I bought one of thoses guitar books for dummies.
(If it matters I have a Fender Squier) |
Your basic cords would be a good place to start. Good Luck!

There is a german website which collects fun-stuff like this... I wanted to see more, so I used a p2p program to find more of JerryC, some nice stuff, even a 12 minutes show of him.

KittyChan,
I would recomment learning basic chords and scales, as you'll come to learn many songs use the same chord progression (ie Oldies all use G-C-D).
To "sound" good shouldn't take you too long. Just playing chords repeatedly and sing a harmony over them.
I would additionally recommend you search tabs (guitar "sheet music"). Tabcrawler.com is a good one. Just search for your favorite songs and practice.
You should get there in no time.
Bjoern, great find. That JerryC guy is amazing. I did some more digging and found his personal website.
I also added it to my blog. (I made sure to spell your name correctly).
