I'm looking into buying a phone off eBay, however my current phone (nokia 3120) has a 64K SIM card in it. I talked to a Cingular rep about this and he said that putting a 64K SIM card in a phone that only accepts 32K sims would not work. I'm wondering if this is true? and how do I tell if a brand new phone is supposed to be set for 64k or 32k? thanks!

a 64k will work in just about any other phone, with a few exceptions (older 1100's , older T720's etc.)

if your phone is not an ENS phone, it will make no difference which sim card you have.

you will have no problems with a 64k sim in that phone... as previously posted... newer phones can use it ...

Just note: I have a 64k SIM in my T720--locked up my other one. The number and everything works, but most of the time anything SIM related such as Phonebook, message center, recent calls, etc. will not work.
