I want to know how to proceed to put the backup in the D500 ... made with corona downloader ???
I have the cfg file !!!

Get the .CFG for another firmware of the net and rename the name.
BTW you don't need a 9V battery to flash your phone. Just Get a cable that has a RX, TX and Grnd and connect them to the right pins. |
Thank's for aswer but it's false...and dangerous...because each *.TFS file have a her proper *.cfg ... All the informations in the *.CFG file describe the rights directory and the rights files that the TFS contains... and if u take *.cfg from another fw (D500/D500E) you'll have many risks to have many files with quota 0Ko and not removable because they don't exist in the TFS files !!!
So

I`m wondering too! The .cfg files are different on different versions of firmwares, i don`t want to kill my phone

Ok. I made a full dump / backup of my D500E's original firmware using Corona Downloader v3.2. It created two files, one ~32MB and another ~125MB. I changed the 32MB one to a *.cla file and the 125MB one to a *.tfs file. Now I need a matching *.cfg file to go with it since I miss the sidebar present in the Orange firmware.
Don, I've seen you say in a number of posts that we can just take any *.cfg file from any D500 firmware. I believe that is wrong and could end up causing harm to the phone. The *.cfg and *.tfs files have to match since the *.cfg file has the list of directories files in the *.tfs file should go in.
So does anyone know how we can create a matching *.cfg file to go with our Corona Downloader - dumped backup?

My Orange firmware had the exact same info. as iG's.
